LaMaison is a newly built private residence, ours from the ground up, with interiors that are warm and lived in, and answering to you alone.
The master suite is the heart of the house, with a sitting room of its own and a playroom beside it, so a young child rests close by through the night. From the bed the pool lies in view, and the light moves across the room from morning to evening. 3 further suites open onto the garden, each quiet and private, dressed in linen and warm underfoot. 4 suites in all, sleeping 8, and every room wakes to the garden or the water.
The living room gathers around an open fire, beneath a wall of woven baskets collected over the years. Deep chairs, a wall of books within reach, and glass walls that open the room to the garden and hold the afternoon light. As the light goes, it is the room everyone returns to.
The residence stands in 2,500 square metres of its own ground, among old olive trees and warm stone. The salty infinity pool is heated year round, and the kitchen garden is picked for the table each morning. Evenings move outdoors, to a long table beneath the arches, or a film on the lawn once the light has gone. When the gate closes behind you, the quiet is complete.
A private chef cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner. Housekeeping, a butler and a concierge throughout, the coffee already poured the way you like it, a table laid before you think to ask. Everything is understood before you arrive, and the days are yours to spend as lightly as you please.
